How to withdraw from GMGN
Getting money out of GMGN is deliberately slower than getting it in, and the people who get stuck are usually the ones who try to do it from the Telegram bot at the moment they need the funds. Here is the whole sequence, including the delays you should set up in advance.

GMGN withdrawal steps: 2FA, whitelist address and holds
Why the bot cannot send your funds
GMGN moved the withdrawal flow out of the Telegram bots and onto the website. Press Withdraw in a bot and it hands you a link to gmgn.ai. This is a security decision: a stolen Telegram session alone should not be able to move money. It also means the time to set withdrawals up is now, not when you want to exit.
The sequence, in order
- Bind Google Authenticator. Security section, top right of gmgn.ai. Withdrawals stay locked until this is done. GMGN suggests turning off the authenticator's cloud sync so a compromised Google account cannot hand over every code.
- Set a whitelist address. Funds can only leave to addresses on this list. Add the address you actually use, and check it character by character.
- Wait out the hold. No withdrawals for 3 hours after first setting or changing the whitelist, and 24 hours after re-binding the authenticator.
- Withdraw from Deposit/Withdraw. The current main wallet is used by default; for another wallet, switch in the multi-wallet manager first.
Those holds are a feature, not an obstacle: they are the window in which you can react if someone else gets into your account. Set them up on a quiet day so the clock has already run when you need to move.
Things that surprise people
- Max is not everything. Each wallet keeps a minimum for storage rent and gas.
- Stablecoins do not auto-convert. Deposited USDT or USDC stays put; on Solana, Ethereum, Base and BSC you can sell it for the native token inside GMGN if the wallet holds gas.
- Memecoins leave through the wallet tools. Consolidate and Distribute move tokens between your wallets, need 2FA, and only display holdings above about $10.
- Reclaiming rent. On Solana, closing emptied token accounts returns a small amount of SOL; GMGN does this automatically when a position is cleared.
Withdrawals and custody are the same question
The reason withdrawal rules matter so much on GMGN is that you cannot take the keys instead: GMGN documents that private keys cannot be exported on any chain, including wallets you import. Moving funds out is the only exit. That trade-off, and what it means for how much you should keep on the platform, is covered in the custody write-up. The account-level protections are the same ones in the setup walkthrough, which is where to start if you have not created the account yet.
If a withdrawal will not go through
Check in this order: is Google Authenticator bound, is the destination whitelisted, has the 3-hour or 24-hour hold expired, is there gas left in the wallet after the amount you typed, and are you on the correct chain in the interface. If everything checks out, take the question to GMGN's official support bot from the verified links page rather than anyone who messages you first.
Withdrawal questions
How do I withdraw from GMGN?
On the website, not in the bot. Bind Google Authenticator under Security, set a whitelist address, wait out the hold, then withdraw from the Deposit/Withdraw page.
Why can I not withdraw from the GMGN Telegram bot?
GMGN moved withdrawals to the website for security. The bot shows a Withdraw button that links you to gmgn.ai.
How long is the GMGN withdrawal hold?
No withdrawals for 3 hours after you first set or change a whitelist address, and 24 hours after re-binding Google Authenticator.
Why does the Max button not send my whole balance?
Each on-chain wallet must keep a minimum balance for account storage and gas, so GMGN leaves a small amount behind.
Can I withdraw memecoins, not just SOL?
Yes. On Solana, the multi-wallet tools consolidate or distribute tokens including memecoins, with 2FA required and a $10 minimum display value.
Withdrawal rules follow from how the account is built in the first place — the GMGN AI overview explains the wallet model that makes the whitelist and the holds necessary.
