How does a GMGN referral code actually work?
GMGN does not ask you to type a code into a form at sign-up. Referrals bind through the link you arrive from. GMGN's referral documentation lists three link formats: the website with a ref parameter, the login bot t.me/gmgnaibot?start=i_CODE, and chain bots such as t.me/GMGN_sol_bot?start=i_CODE. Newer referral links use a short gmgn.ai/r/CODE form, which is what our button uses.
The binding happens when your account is created. That is why the order of steps matters: open the link first, then connect Telegram or your wallet on the page it opens.
How do you use code UPf048WP on the website?
- Open gmgn.ai through our referral link. Check the address bar says gmgn.ai before doing anything else.
- Click Connect in the top right and choose Connect Telegram. GMGN sends you to the official @gmgnaibot login bot.
- Press Start in the bot, then tap the Login Website link it sends. Each login link works once.
- Back on gmgn.ai you are logged in, and GMGN has generated your wallets. Continue with funding and your first trade.
How do you use it in Telegram?
If you prefer to start in Telegram, open the GMGN login bot with our code. The link ends in start=i_UPf048WP, the format GMGN documents. Only press Start in a bot whose handle exactly matches the official GMGN bot list; fake bots copy the name with a capital I in place of a lowercase l.
What does GMGN's referral program say?
GMGN's documentation describes the program from the referrer's side: people who invite traders earn a share of the trading fees those traders pay, with higher rates for higher referred volume and an application form to request an increase. Commissions are tracked across chains including Solana, BSC, Ethereum, Base and Tron.
What the documentation does not publish is a fixed fee discount for the person being invited. We checked the referral link page and the referral program page on 14 September 2026, and neither states one. So we do not promise you a percentage off, and you should be sceptical of any page that does without linking to GMGN.
Why do search results show so many different GMGN codes?
Search "GMGN referral code" and most results are not websites at all. They are slide decks, podcast episodes, help-centre articles on unrelated companies and blog platforms, each pushing a different code with a different promise: 10%, 15%, 20%, 30% and even "100% off". None of those pages links to a GMGN source for the number. A code can only record who referred you; the fee you pay is set by GMGN and shown in your trade confirmation.
Never enter a seed phrase or private key to "activate" a referral code. GMGN's referral binding needs nothing but the link. Anything asking for more is a phishing page.
How can you check what you actually pay?
Place a small trade and open the transaction in a block explorer such as Solscan. GMGN's docs point users there to see every fee line. Can I add a referral code to an existing GMGN account?
GMGN does not document a way to add or change a referrer after an account exists. Use the link when you first create the account.
Do GMGN codes give 100% off fees?
No official GMGN page promises a 100% fee discount for invited users. Codes advertised as 100% off on slide decks and podcast pages have no source in GMGN documentation.
Is a GMGN referral code required?
No. You can use GMGN without one. A referral only records who introduced you.
